Teaching Materials

We are currently developing teaching materials that apply scientific reasoning as the logic for analyzing data, with initial releases planned for summer 2024.

There are two sets of course materials, with lots of synergies between them: 1) a course focused on statistical pitfalls. 2) materials for the analysis of geospatial area data in courses on spatial seasoning & pitfalls, the 19th century case of cholera, and high school materials developed with partners through the Data4All Bridge workshop (University of Chicago’s Data Science Institute) and Skew The Script.

Our aim is that these materials serve as navigational aids for how to critically solve problems with data and ultimately result in more engagement, rigorous testing, critical thinking, and more plausible explanations.
